What is International Women's Sports Day?

International Women's Sports Day is celebrated every year on January 24. Its objective is to allow women's sport to gain visibility and contribute to its better representation in the media 🎬
This day is an opportunity to remember the importance of sport not only as a means of health and well-being, but also as a powerful tool for personal development, empowerment and gender equality. It aims to break stereotypes, challenge gender norms and create more inclusive and accessible sporting environments for all.

The interview with Anaïs Quemener:

For the occasion, we interviewed Anaïs Quemener, Glitter runner since 2022!✨ She told us about her daily life and we'll tell you everything 🥰

Anaïs Quemener is 32 years old. A caregiver and athlete, she discovered running at the age of 7 and since then, she has never left the track. She quickly joined an athletics club to take part in her first competitions, at the age of 9. Above all, she likes to run, surpass herself, and progress further.

French marathon champion in 2013, 2016 and 2022, she is today very proud to be vice-president of her club “La Meute Running” in Seine-et-Marne. His races are his fondest memories, and the best of them: the Paris marathon last year. At home, she retains the encouragement, the atmosphere, the glitter... What emotion!

During her last marathon in Berlin, she finished first in France with a time of 2h29'01! His next objective is to get as close as possible to the Olympic minimums in marathon with a view to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games 🤞🏽

What if now we talked about glitter and racing? ✨

For Anaïs, each race is a day of celebration. And party always rhymes with glitter! “We shine on the skin, we shine at the finish” so she has been wearing them since the Paris marathon in 2022. She wanted to look pretty for the occasion, her bib, her Glitter, her ribbons in her hair. Since then, it has become his sports routine! She even tells us: “I put on my super girl “costume”, I feel feminine, and ready to take on any challenge!” And we love that 🥰

Her favorite glitter product, above all, is the Vegas baby glitter gel ! (Plus, it holds up really well during the race! 😉)

It's winter at the moment, she does a lot of cross-country running, but if you want to support her, she will soon be at the start of the Seville marathon in Spain, still wearing her glitter! ✨
